Los Angeles-based 2nd Day Crush plays instantly catchy power pop that’s well crafted and energetic. The album’s opener, The Victim, is particularly rollicking and sets the tone for the tunes that follow.

In addition to capable songwriting, the band’s members perform admirably—each tune features tight, spot-on musicianship. On 624, 2nd Day Crush includes a couple slower numbers, too, such as Sometimes and You Give Yourself Away, best described as rocking ballads.

Favorite Track: Track 6, “Something Now”
