This evening’s entertainment kicked off with a, lately quite rare, performance by the complete 58 Deluxe line up. It was good to see Bryan Foote, guitar and vocals, back in front of his band comprising of Tony Mottram, Bass, Mario, Drums and Tony Stokes Harp. They performed ‘One Way Out’, ’Help Me’ & ‘Baby Please Don’t Go’.
Next Up was Chris Perrin, Guitar and Vocals accompanied by Justin Spivey, Guitar and nice sounding new tremolo pedal. Also with Pete on Bass and Evan on Drums. They gave us ‘Hoochie Coochie Man’, ‘Sympathy for The Devil’ and a very nice Slow Blues number where Chris Perrin played a thoughtful and very tasty guitar solo. Then we saw Heather take to the stage accompanied by Matt on Guitar, Russ on Guitar, Gaz on Drums, Rich on Bass, Jim on Sax. They performed ‘Built for Comfort’, ‘Stormy Monday’ with a nicely jazzy sax solo and great tone again from Matt during a top solo. They then hounded a version of ‘Johnny B Goode’ – Matt suffering from early flu symptoms was caught unawares for his solo and was seen 'ballet dancing' on his pedal board trying to get it into gear ! Johnny G was up jammin’ next with Pete Bass, Evan Drums, Johnny C on guitar, Mario on Harp. ‘Key To The Highway’ Des Vocal, Matt Guitar, Tony M Bass, Russ Gtr, Tony Stokes Harp. Mario Drums. They played us ‘Black Magic Woman’ and ‘3 o’ Clock Blues’. Chris Perrin Vocal and Guitar , Mario Drums , Pete Bass , Justin Guitar, Jim on Sax. Johhny G Guitar and Vocal , Gaz, Drums Johnny C Guitar , Justin Guitar , Rich Bass , Jim Sax, Tony Stokes Harp Played us out the door with .... Overall the sound levels were particularly nicely balanced so please jammers don’t touch those dials for next time ! |
