Justin’s first ‘leaving’ doo ! Tony M presented Justin with an enlarged photo of Justin performing at a past jam night. The ‘jammers’ signed the back of the pic. A nice keepsake for J to recall what he used to do on Tuesday nights once he is settled in Canada. A funk/rock Santana style jam developed whilst setting up. The jamming involved Gordon (drums) Matt (gtr) Chris P (gtr) Johnny G (gtr) Tony M on bass for some of the time with Pete on bass for the remainder. Steve Cash stepped up to the stage accompanied by Matt (gtr) TonyM (bass) Justin (gtr) Tony S (harp) Gordon (drums). They performed ‘The Hunter’, ‘Stormy Monday’ and ‘Farther On Up The Road’ Next up was Chris P (guitar and vocal) with Dougie (drums) Justin (gtr) and Pete on bass. They did ‘Red House’, ‘Hey Joe’, and ‘Hoochie Coochie Man’. Jonny G (vocal, gtr) with Evan (drums) John C (gtr) and Ben (bass). They performed ‘Little Wing’ and ‘Little Queen of Spades’ and little else ! Next up was Jake (vocal, acoustic guitar) with Justin (gtr), Dougie (drums) and Phil (bass). They performed ‘Alberta’ by Dylan and Open Your Heart Again by Jake. Heather (vocal) Gordon (drums) Richard (bass) Stevie (gtr) and Russ (gtr) ‘Let The Good Times Roll’ ‘Knockin’ On Heavens Door’ and ‘I Shot The Sherrif’ Steve Cash was back on stage for a rendition of ‘Old Love’ with Pete (gtr) Ben (bass) Gordon (drums) Matt (gtr) Justin (gtr). Heather then took over the mike for the ‘Mojo finale’. Steve Cash, Russ and Jonny G a.k.a. ‘The Paradettes’ sang backing the all the zest of The Three Degrees! Justin’s actual leaving bash is next week which we think will be his last this time on English soil. |
