Well how typical...last week rammed this week where where you all.?.....we did have some hardcore hounds but only 5 guitarists one without a guitar and another who didn`t use his own guitar ,but we did get some notices of absents.
John C furnished the lone guitar amp and Tony S allowed his Harp amp to be used for guitar as well. Mario, Tony S, John C and Motters opened the evening with an instrumental until Heather arrived and joined in on vocals for renditions of Stormy and Built for comfort. Next up were Steevie gtr vox Pete bass Evan drums playing I Shot,Hey Joe,followed by Knockin.... someone noted that Steevie was on form tonight. Shakey Stu vox+harp performed Ramblin,Cold hearted woman and You dont Love me with Gordon drums, Phil bass, John C and Tom gtrs. Heather stepped up to the plate again to sing Johnny B. Love me like a woman, with Andy drums Richard bass Tony S harp JC gtr, then Neil borrowed Johns strat and performed Midnight Hour and Alright now it say with Steve as young Tom had left early. The Paradise lounge went all newport Jazz fest as Jake presented A Dylanesque Electric Experience with Evan, Phil and Neil who we hope to see return from Stoke with guitar and mates real soon. There were a lot of drinkers tonight and not so many players but we managed to pull it together and we all had a good time all be a strange kinda vibe. Heather whipped up the storm in the finale with Russ and Steve gtrs Paul on bass Maz back on his kit Tony S blowing! and some audience partisipation on the house fave ...Mojo... Lets hope a few more Guitarist show up next session and with an extra amp...thanks John. this review is based on notes and in no way reflects any memory of an evening nearly a week ago. TM |
