A relatively thinly supported evening but not down on quality. So who was the tenor player? Plenty of technique, a Breckeresque tone in the upper register & some ideas, too. Identify yourself, Sir!
Good solos by Jonny G & the guitarist from Free Spirit (name?) who gave good & sympathetic support to Stevie. Interesting early attempt at slide playing by Dino - on a notably ratty guitar, too. More soon, one might hope. Only three bass players - one twenty fret bass, one 22 fret, driven by one hirsute player, one neatly barbered & one rather bald & fat. But wait for it - in picture no. 1858, the bald one appears to be playing a figure in G based around the 15th fret... Hope he doesn't come too often. Another evening to prove that we only do it 'cause we like it. Mr. W. E. A. K. Bladder |
