13.6.06 JAM NIGHT Lucky for some!

Tonight was very Sandy Shaw..... sockless
Plenty of faffing during the `noisecheck` when Mr Perrins sensitve ears where assaulted and Matts Burman decided to cook some popcorn or so it sounded. After many technical tests, where Matt tried the amp upside down! two and two were added and Motters noticed a flashing blacklight lighting tube above one and all. Disconnection of this fixed the problem.

No doubt due to some fussball on the television we had a sparse list which Heather pointed out suits her as she can `have plenty`
Jason mega drums, Chris P, Matt Tonehound,Motters oppened the proceedings witha GandR Style jamup in D C G initiated by Slish Thorpe.......made a change ! Mr Stokes resident Gobironist was missing due to a live performance on radio WM the same evening.CP stepped up to the Mic for Aint no sunshine (shome mishtake Ed.) Followed by miss H singing Long Train Running then back to CP for High Heeled sneakers.

Heather with JC gtr, Pete using Chris`s Les Paul, Rich Bass, Gordon Drums, Summertime bluesed, Hoochied then jumping Jacked which would`ve had Justin turnin in his Wig`n`Gown.

Dougie and Paul were the next RidimSection with Matt and Tom melodying over a Motters voice with a long intro in Rock me Baby. Heather was by then suitably re lubricated,so Black Magic and Built for comfort followed.

The next set was a Hendrix tribute set (like Jason never had played one before with Free Sprit) a shame Steevie was not available so Chris P, Matt, Rich and Jason hit the boards. I think old Rich may have been mimeing as Pete was behind the bass rig...?? otherwise coaching was GOING ON, OR A SET OF JUMP LEADS WERE ATTACHED TO THE LAD FOR EXTRA ENERGY? Red House, Little Wing and Hey Joe, WOT 3 numbers at 10 pm?.............

Heather was back up again with Johnny C,Tom,Pete on Bass, should`ve been Gordon but he`d gone AWOL.Please let TM know when you leave as the list gets mixed up.See photos for the drummer of this set and the closing act.
Musically we had Johnny B Goode and sister Mustang Sally closing a hot night.
