THE LINEUP
The Cliffnotes are a six-piece rockin' blues/R&B band performing mostly original material. Band members include: Cliff Stepp, lead vocals/rhythm guitar, Joe "From Chicago" Rank on blues harp/vocals, Dr. Stan "The Bassman" Hamrick, bass, Wayne "Walk this Way" Walcoff on keys, Scott "JJ" Jeffreys, lead guitar and Dan "Boom Boom" Sanchez, drums. BACK IN THE DAZE Cliff started out as a solo singer/songwriter and had a few songs produced by B.B. King for Just the Blues and then "Country Song" was recorded by Pure Prairie League, among others. While in college Cliff formed his first "The T.P. Waterhouse Jug Band and Electric Screendoor Salesmen." In October of 2007 those lovable maniacs from the original Mobobrious PIT (It's a long story) put together a college reunion bash at JB's, the basement bar where all the bands played during our campus years. It was an historic event; their college era stage with all three original band members; drummer (Spider Allen) and bass player "Cute" Bill Brauning) rockin' the same bar they used to go to drink 3.2 beer and listen to Joe Walsh, Devo, Chrissie Hynde, and Phil Keagy of Glassharp. Michale Keaton was hangin' out there during this time, too. I made "Diamond on Fire," a new "rough cuts" CD, with 16 tunes, available for $6.95. I was waiting to get into the studio but I had so many requests for this I just went and did it on my own.
Blues, Americana, humor, R&B and a little country, just to round it all out. |
New YouTube video of Cliff (aka T.P. Waterhouse) performing Monkey in My Cereal with his original college band drummer, Greg "Spider" Allen and bass player, "Cute" Bill Brauning along with the famous Tony Koussa, Jr. on keyboard and Super Scotty on lead guitar.
This was at the Mobobrious PIT reunion bash held at Fat Jimmy's (in our days known as JB's) middle of October '07. This is the same bar where we would see Joe Walsh, Chrisse Hynde, the guys that would be DEVO and the guitar wizard that Jimi Hendrix called the best he'd ever heard, Phil Keagy of Glassharp. |
Check out this new record label called Harvest Road Music that is devoted to "the sounds of wine country." The first CD in the series is titled, "Uncorked." It's a compilation that contains national and local artists.
Nationally known producer Randy Rigby is involved and this CD features the debut of up and comer, Nataly Lola. |
