The Patriot Perspective has run a very nice article about us in the paper today. We're really grateful for them interviewing us and giving us some exposure. We'd like to thank anyone who sees the site because of the paper. We'd also like to note that unfortunately, because of conflicting schedules, Ellen Gauvin hasn't been able to sing with us for quite a while, and Nate has taken that position over, doubling on vocals and guitar, although he says he would happily pass the singing spot on to someone else who has an open schedule and a decent voice. We should also announce that we're desperately seeking a permanant bass player, so if you play and are interested, GET AHOLD OF US!! And to Mr. Boggs--Riley and Nate both extend their highest amount of gratitude for his support and companionship. Thanks for a great year and a job well done. Thanks to all, -the Rules 2/1/03 Ok, so we changed our name a while back to "the Rules", but the site has been pretty much been neglected, and we never bothered to make note of it until now. So yeah, we're now "the Rules". New website is still under construction. 11/30/02 Dear Jess: "The Picture" may now be found, in its brilliantly glorious Kodak colour on the "Pictures of Us" page. Thanks for your concern, and we are sorry to have deprived you for this short time. 11/19/02 OK, good news and bad news. The good news is that there is a new song in the "Hear Us" section. Nate F. and Riley recorded a jam which includes the riff of their work-in-progress titled "Heavyfoot" tonight, so please check that out. Now the bad news: It has come to our attention that there is already a band with the name "the Silent Treatment" out of Florida. They have had the name longer than us, and they also seem much more developed, judging by the size of their website. "the Cold Shoulder" will be our new name, and we will have a new website up shortly. 11/10/02 We're very pleased at the number of responses and comments we've had in the guestbook and otherwise. We really appreciate your support and interest in us as we finally get this ship off the ground. Thanks to everybody! 11/8/02 New song added. Yet another version of "Stutter and Mutter" recorded in Chris DuPont's basement, using his equipment. We now have a guestbook, which can be found with the other links. PLEASE SIGN IT! ALSO!! Nate and Riley ask that you please give a hearty cheer as we announce (yes, that's right) we've got a NEW bandmember!! Nate Reimensnyder has accepted the offer to play bass in the band. We're confident he'll be a great addition! (Pictures and updates will follow soon) 11/6/02 We finally put up a recording using the NEW 8-track. Click the "hear us" link on the left to listen to our cover of "1979" by the Smashing Pumpkins. |
