Resource Links
SFEE on MySpace
Come visit our profile, cruise our friends, and check out whether your band is listed as one of our friends. I'm friendly, and only bite when requested to. The rest of the time I just kinda gnash what's left of my teeth...
Musician Resources
A bunch of good resources you can use to promote your band and further your career! Watch for ratings, coming soon...
OnlineRock
You are here! Be certain to sign your band up for free or premium services!
NowOn Tour.com
Any unsigned, unmanaged musician who ever wanted to tour needs to check this one out. If there's anything else like them on the web, I haven't found it yet. You can reach them through MySpace as well. Do your band a favor; drop everything you're doing and click on this link.
GarageBand.com
If you haven't listed your band here, what are you waiting for? Created by musicians, for musicians, this site is sponsored by Budweiser True Music. It features listener reviews which are scored on relevance, and has a contest as a built in incentive. Like I said, what are you waiting for?
Music Gorilla
Yet another online music promotion site. This is why I'm reviewing them for ya'll! This one seems pretty comprehensive, but musician services are premium (whereas industry and fan aren't). From a listener standpoint, this one is a little hard to use;
Download Music Contracts Affordably!
Just like the caption says, this is where you go to get the legalese that's supposed to protect you from big bad boogie men out to rip off your best riffs! Or at least from crooked manager types...

Or you could just see if the freebies I downloaded will do ya. Send a request for now, though I plan to post them in their entirety somewhere on this site soon!
MySpace
Is there anyone in the industry who isn't on MySpace yet? Oh, yeah there's some newbies & a couple of old has beens! Well, for those special few, be sure to follow the Bust Computer link below...by the 25th time MySpace gives you some funky error, you'll need to vent the frustration!

More Resources
More good places to start...
Sign up for Soundpost
Sound Post is my least favorite of these links. If anyone knows of a good reason to choose it over the other services, let me know. I list it for the sake of a thorough and complete listing, but you may find it of some value. Its at least worth checking out and comparing to other, similar services.
Music Submit
This one's pretty good, but a little tricky to figure out all of the features. Give me a holler if you have trouble, and I'll see if I can't help you puzzle it through...
Artists First
If you're serious about pushing your music on the web, then you absolutely MUST see what these people have to offer. SFEE is a reseller of their services, but I've not yet made a dime off of it. It's so good that I don't care; just GO THERE!
Band Space
Based on the name, you'd think they were a little like MySpace, only specifically for bands, right? Guess again. I don't have much use for this one either...
TemplateMonster.com
Want a website that looks more professional than this one? Then you need to check this place out! With rates as low as $20.00 a template, you're sure to find something you can use here. They even have a music section!

SFEE is an affiliate, which means that if you click the banner above to order, I actually start making money on this gig...Help a VERY poor gal out, will ya?
PressKits.tk
I couldn't believe it when I found this one, guys. A FREE electronic press kit service. Not as slick looking as the premium version, and way underutilized. But if YOU all use it, then it'll get the traffic it deserves...
Audio Gig
This one seems to be pretty new, since not many artists are listed on it yet. Could thus be a bargain, and has lots of room to get you noticed! From a user's standpoint, as easier to use than several of the others, tho it lacks some of the bells and whistles of sites like Garage Band...
Ever wonder where bands get those nifty laminate passes made?
Well, this is the place, or one of them! Get professional looks from your own artwork! It'll impress the groupies who collect 'em!
ProBands.com
If you have a band, promotions company, venue, booking company, or any kind of service which any musician anywhere could use, this is the place for you. Although it is pretty basic when it comes to looks, it's a musician's wish list hand delivered. More of a database than anything, it is well worth wading through, and will link straight to your site.
KindWeb - Music Resources, Band Links, Events Calendar, Venues Finder, Activism, Natural Health Information, a Great Search Engine, and much more...
KindWeb.com
Deadheads can be a persistently industrious bunch when it comes to music. Despite the 10 years since the band's lamented demise, one often finds evidence of enterprising Heads all over the web.

This is a good example. You can even edit your own WYSIWYG webpage from here, however it's pretty limited. Be sure to check the Kindweb search engine at the bottom of this page!
Muses Muse
A one stop songwriters workshop which does everything but write the lyric for you! This place is overwhelming, it has so much information!
Music Biz Tips
These guys will blow up your inbox with solicitations for their conference calls, but some of them look to be worth the trouble (and the price). Check out what they offer, because they CAN put you in contact with influential types of folk...

Don't ask me why this link won't work. It does from my puter, just not from this page. Thus I inserted no image for them either...
www.greatmusicsites.com
Just what the name says, people, but kind of difficult to wade through. Come to SFEE instead.
Pure Volume
From a listeners perspective, Pure Volume leaves somewhat to be desired. Listeners can only have 70 favorite bands, for one, and there's no provision for messages. Other services feature easy ways that fans can even bug you to record new music!

However, I suspect that their band area offers a lot more, or so many good bands wouldn't list with it. Perhaps its just easy to use.

In any case, bands get a profile page and can put up several songs, pics, etc. Go ahead and list here, since everyone does, but keep in mind with only 70 favs to choose from, fans are unlikely to pick you from the thousands of bands on here...

For better exposure, try one of the other music posting services listed here. Or just be lazy and pick this one. I'm sure all the fans already overwhelmed by MySpace will be tenacious enough to find you here...

On the upside, this one soesn't seem to require listener registration. Downside, it only seems to list headline acts, and the rock is pitifully Classic. They have no genre heading for Metal at all folks. I'd just ignore it. Their jukebox is expensive as well. Lots of free services compete with this little known site.
Download Punk!
It works much like Pure Volume or other download sites. But it's just for punks. Get it? Got it? Good!
Online Band Manager
I'd like to say that I saved the best for last here, but I literally just discovered this one. If you use no other resource here, USE THIS ONE! You can post your songs almost anywhere. No where else can you manage your gigs and contacts like you can here! Do it now...
