Eliah’s self-titled album is a polished work of mostly straight-ahead modern rock tunes. Its familiar sound extends to the rubber-stamp vocals—echoing those of Creed. But it’s an enjoyable listen: good musicianship, catchy musical pieces and interesting lyrics.

The songs are accessible to any ear: power chords and heavy rhythms cut with pop hooks and electric keyboards. There’s just enough of an edge and variety here to keep things going from start to finish.

Favorite Track: Track 8, “Flow”
