Autumdivers New Album To Be Released
June 1st
Band Announces New Nationwide Distribution Deal
BELMONT, Calif., March 18, 2004 – The Autumdivers,
featured with artists such as Elbow, Green Day and Ani DiFranco
on CMJ's New Music Monthly’s current (Jan/Feb 2004) CD compilation,
today announced its second full-length CD on California-based
OnlineRock Records will be released June 1, 2004. In addition,
the band has just signed a national distribution deal with
Dryden Records of Chicago.
The self-titled album mixes styles of British
Pop with pure American rock-and-roll, drifting from accessible
radio friendly songs like “I Still Feel” and “Turnaround”
to more guitar-intense tracks such as “Inasmuch” and “Walkaway.”
“Think Galaxie 500 with more juice; think British '90s
pop with a shade less shoegazing” said Fran Fried, entertainment
editor of the New Haven Register.
Three tracks from the upcoming release were produced by
Chris DiBeneditto of G. Love and The Special Sauce, for
whom the band opened a number of shows in 2003.
“I've been digging the sound of the Autumdivers for a while.” said G. Love, “With
their strong live performances; this band should have a great year.”
Will Barroso, president of Dryden Records and Distribution comments, “The Autumdivers
have the potential to make some noise in the industry. Their refreshingly crisp,
psychedelic pop sound transports the listener into an oblivion of atmospherics
and beautiful acoustics.”
The band is available for interviews and promotional appearances. For a review
or radio copy of the CD, contact Steve Beck (steve@onlinerock.com) at OnlineRock
Records, 2033 Ralston Ave., #50 Belmont, CA 94002 or by phone 650/649-2304. You
