OnlineRock
Launches Record Label
Label’s First Release Benefits September 11th Fund
SAN CARLOS, Calif., January 7, 2002 - Tapping into the talent
of nearly 5,000 bands and musicians, OnlineRock, one of the
largest music communities assembled on the Web, is about to
crank up the volume.
OnlineRock (www.onlinerock.com)
today launches its new record label, OnlineRock Records, for
those members using its unique blend of services for aspiring
musicians. In addition to the new label, OnlineRock now offers
a CD fulfillment service for musicians and an independent
online music store where they can sell their music. OnlineRock
will also provide CD manufacturing services that add critical
support to the company’s business model.
"With access to so much terrific talent, it’s a natural
progression for OnlineRock to begin working in a more meaningful
way with musicians that use our services and are passionate
about sharing their music with the world," said Steven
Beck, founder and President of OnlineRock.
The first release from OnlineRock Records entitled “Rock
for America” is a benefit CD for the United Way’s September
11th Fund. Submitted from musicians around the globe, the
compilation is a musical expression of the recent world events.
The CD is now available for purchase at the OnlineRock Web
site.
OnlineRock is currently seeking musicians to sign to the
new label. Bands and solo artists are invited to submit demo
packages to OnlineRock Records, 735 Industrial Road, Suite
212, San Carlos, CA 94070. Contract details for each musical
act will vary. For more information, visit www.onlinerock.com/olrRecords.shtml
