OnlineRock Launches Label Express
Program Gives Up-and-Coming Bands a First Chance
SAN CARLOS, Calif., August 15, 2002 - OnlineRock,
a music community providing musicians with the tools and services
needed to promote their music, today introduced its new "Label
Express" program.
The "Label Express" program gives
up-and-coming bands and musicians a chance to get their music
out to their fans under a label environment. "By providing
bands and musicians with CDs to sell along with some online
promotion," said Steven Beck, Founder and President of
OnlineRock, "we feel this just might be the break that
some bands need."
OnlineRock will manufacture a run of 50 CDs
using professional in-house CDR duplicators and ship half
of them to the band to sell; the other half will be sold from
the OnlineRock CD Store. OnlineRock will split the profits
(minus costs) 50/50 with the band or musician. Bands will
never have to put out any money and will retain the rights
to their music. OnlineRock will also feature the artists on
our Web site and include their music on our Internet radio
station.
OnlineRock is currently seeking musicians to
sign to the new program. Bands and solo artists who have some
music already recorded and that play a few live gigs each
month are invited to submit demo packages to OnlineRock Records,
735 Industrial Road, Suite 212, San Carlos, CA 94070. More
information can be found at https://onlinerock.com/label/labelexpress.shtml
