Both a straight and curved headjoint are included with the 515RS, and it features open hole, French-style keys with removable plugs. The curved headjoint is great for smaller beginners until they are able to reach the keys with a straight headjoint. Open hole keys include plugs which are useful during the first year of flute playing, and can be removed one-by-one as the student progresses.

Jupiter's 515RS is all silver-plated nickel silver. A thin wall body responds instantly, and the high nickel content of the metal body produces the richest sound of any student flute. The 515RS is a superb beginner's flute.
