A conventional compressor tends to be dominated by the lower string, but with SpectraComp—taken directly from the original TC Electronic RH450—you virtually get per string multi-band compression evening out the compression across all strings. The result: your sound gets compressed in a much more musical and useful way than a single-band compressor could do it.

TC Electronic TubeTone
The TubeTone effect was originally introduced on TC Electronic RH450. Most transistor designs have tried to replicate tube sound using a single small preamp tube. But such attempts generally fail as they don't take into account the crucial characteristics of a full preamp and power amp—both of which are essential to the sound. TC Electronic TubeTone emulates all characteristics to deliver the full tube sound.
