The Lace Helix LHB5 5-String Neck-Through Bass is equipped with the revolutionary Alumitone pickup,
designed by Jeff Lace. This Helix offers a maple neck, stunning, multilaminated neck-through construction, mahogany body,
dual Alumitone bass pickups, and data knobs for volume and tone.
Alumitone bass guitar pickups are current driven
instead of traditional voltage-based pickups. You get higher fidelity or broadband response for tighter top-end, more mid-range
and a huge bottom end. This passive Lace pickup outperforms many active systems, and the sonic output level generally exceeds
that of similar preamp equipped electric basses.
With today's increased environmental concerns, Lace also wanted to
create a lightweight, advanced pickup that doesn't contribute to pollutants caused by discarded batteries. Lace Alumitones
eliminates the need for conventional pickups with a preamp and battery. You also lose almost 2 pounds of weight, without compromising
output or performance. Lace Alumitone soapbar pickups and data knobs are made in the U.S.A. Installation and setup are completed
at the Lace Music factory in Huntington Beach, CA.
The Helix bass also includes the Lace Red Label gig bag , which
is custom-fitting, custom shaped, and custom designed. It fits your Helix 5-string bass nice and snug, with a velco neck strap.
The gig bag boasts heavy-duty zippers, leather zipper handles, leatherette front pad and end cover, a Lace Red Label logo
on-body section, and the Lace Helix logo along the neck area and shoulder strap. The bag's zippered, easy-access front storage
pocket has a penholder, a front pocket large enough to fit cables, cellphones, wallets, straps, etc. The Lace gig bag also
has a larger pouch perfect for sheet music or set lists.
