Superb channel separation and smooth frequency response.
The Nady SCM-2090 stereo condenser microphone boasts a pair of closely matched, large-diaphragm condenser
elements, angled at 90° in an X/Y stereo configuration. Each mic element is unidirectional (cardioid) in polar pattern
creating superb channel separation, a vivid stereo sound field, smooth, linear 20Hz-20kHz frequency response with high SPL
capability, and ultra-low self-noise.
The Nady SCM-2090 mic has a 5-pin XLR connector for balanced left and right
output. The supplied stereo XLR Y-cable outputs 2 balanced 3-pin XLR, in-phase, low impedance signals that can be connected
to 2 channels of your mixing console or recording equipment. Placing the Nady SCM-2090 mic closer to the sound source creates
a more pronounced stereo image while moving the mic further away lessens the stereo image and results in more room ambiance.
Placing the mic too close to a multi-voice source may result in some voices being more dominant than others. For recording
instruments like drum kits, hand percussion, pianos, and kotos, the Nady SCM-2090 Stereo Condenser Microphone does the work
of two ordunary microphones.
