Eight hypersampled bass guitars for Reason 4.
The Reason Electric Bass ReFill puts 8 fully playable electric bass guitars into your Reason 4 software
rack. Featuring selectable basses and bass rigs, plus a wide selection of music style patches, this ReFill lets you add dynamic,
natural sounding bass lines to your software productions.
The 8 bass guitars used for this package include precision,
jazz, fretless, and hollowbody axes from trusted names like Fender, Gibson, Kay, Rickenbacker, and Music Man, and range from
a 1963 vintage model to a more modern, 2001 guitar. All instruments in the Reason Electric Basses ReFill were recorded using
multiple microphones and dedicated bass amp setups, giving you full control of your overall bass sound. To give you a more
diversified sound, some guitars were picked, others fingered, and the string setups were either roundwound or flat. Based
on note for note hypersampling, these basses come complete with bends, glissandos, and fret noises, making them very responsive,
and very much alive.
What is a ReFill?
Even if you haven't come across the term ReFill before,
as a Reason user you most likely use ReFills daily. All sounds, patches, loops and grooves included with Reason come in ReFill
format, as both the Factory and Orkester Sound Banks are ReFills.
When using ReFills with Reason, you can load patches
for any of the devices included in Reason, as well as REX files, samples in WAV or AIFF format, MIDI files and Reason song
files.
One advantage of containing sounds in ReFills is that audio samples are compressed to about half their original
file size when stored in ReFills, with no loss of audio quality. Samples contained in ReFills also load faster in Reason.
Note:
ReFills do not work in standalone—they require a full version of Reason to operate.
