Other appointments include an abalone rosette, dot inlays, asymmetrical neck, and a gloss natural finish.

Takamine's Palathetic pickup offers superior sound balance, high separation, and clear, natural sound. Takamine owes much to the unique design of this device. With six individually shielded piezo-electric transducers—one for each string—the unit is secured beneath the bridge saddle. This unique design allows the pickup to be isolated from the vibration of the body, and enables each transducer to pick up the vibration of the string directly through the bridge saddle, which limits potential feedback, even in a heavy-volume environment. The CoolTube on-board tube preamp features bass and treble tone controls, semi-parametric midrange, a second-source input and blend control, and a chromatic tuner.
