Roadpro Stands
Roadpro hardware represents years of listening to the problems and suggestions of touring pros and years of designing prototypes
that have been subjected rigorous real-life road testing. Tama's line of professional hardware provides a whole new level
of simplicity and durability for the pro drummer. You've got all the features you expect in pro stands such as 28.6"-diameter
bases and double-braced legs. There are also a slew of internal design features that you can't see but will come to love.
Best of all, this hardware is very affordable.
HH75W hi-hat stand
The Roadpro hi-hat inherits many of the great features from Tama's Iron Cobra hi-hats. By inserting nylon washers into the
leg-stand joints, Tama has improved durability and made the leg action much smoother. The footboard angle adjuster allows
for much easier adjustments and, since the foot pedal can be rotated around the tripod base, the Swivel Foot feature greatly
expands floor space and set-up flexibility. Specially shaped plastic and metal nuts that fit together perfectly keep the cymbal
rod from loosening while playing and five different levels of tension can be achieved quickly by using the five easily visible
settings. Tama's Spare-the-Rod tension rod protector keep the tension rod from getting bent out of shape during transport
by packing it into the specially designed upper-section pipe. It's a small, but very significant Tama hardware innovation.
HC72WN
straight cymbal stand and HC73BWN boom cymbal stand
Both the straight cymbal stand and the boom cymbal stand have nylon washers in the leg-stand joints. The toothless Quick-Set
tilter securely holds position with the friction of six metal disc plates instead of traditional gears so you can adjust it
to any angle you desire. This mechanism also has a more durable structure than the conventional gear tilter.
Tama's
new Quick-Set Cymbal Mate enables all drummers to set and release their cymbals quickly. There are red fastening buttons on
both sides of the Cymbal Mate and, while they are depressed, you can move the Cymbal Mate up and down freely. You can choose
from two Cymbal Mate positions for ride or China cymbals: one position gives the cymbal a looser fit and the other a tighter
fit.
These cymbal stands also come complete with a reversible cymbal bottom. The cymbal bottom protects the cymbal's
center hole from the tilter's shaft and threads. If part of the nylon sleeve wears out, you can continue to use this cymbal
bottom by turning it upside down.
Cymbal stands in the Roadpro series were designed with the intent of making the elimination
of stand noise a top priority. A special rubber cap at the end of the upper tube eliminates swaying and rattling, and a special
nylon sleeve underneath the die-cast joint of the base section further reduces swaying.
The boom cymbal stand features
a convertible tilter that allows you to convert the stand into a straight cymbal stand if you find yourself with no room for
a boom. The boom arm stores neatly in the upper tube.
HS70W snare stand
This snare stand has nylon washers in the leg-stand joints and a Quick-Set Tilter. Asymmetrically spaced basket arms allow
an 8- or 10-lug drum to be held without interference with its strainer, butt, or lugs. Since the basket rotates independently
from the stand, you can place the strainer in any position needed. Tama's Escape Claws' rubber cushions allow the snare drum
to float on the basket arms for improved resonance. In addition, they help reduce fatigue by softening the impact of snare
drum playing on your arms and wrists.
HP300 Cobra Jr. drum pedal
Cobra Jr. was developed with the same design concept as the Iron Cobra. The new flat surface of the footboard offers easy
control for slide technique. As with Iron Cobra pedals, the head section of the hoop clamp rotates with the angle of the bass
drum hoop so your HP300 stays flat on the floor. The size of Cobra Jr.'s Power Glide cam is a little bit larger than Iron
Cobra's Power Glide cam and allows lighter and smoother footwork. The improved bearing hinge eliminates a side-to-side motion
and provides superior durability. Twisting springs severely reduce pedal smoothness, so Tama invented Spring Tight, a clever
half-moon-shaped spring tension rod, which keeps the spring from twisting so there's never any loss of power transmission.
