Gold plated switches and no ground loops.
P-Split stands for "passive splitting" with maximum signal fidelity. With the Lehle guitar pedal, one
instrument can be routed to two amplifiers simultaneously. Output A is electrically isolated from Output B by the Lehle LTHZ
high end transformer — so ground loops are excluded from the start. In addition, the Lehle P-Split also features a gold-plated-contact
phase-reversing and ground switch.
Lehle LTHZ
The Lehle LTHZ is a ferrite core transformer consisting of two coils with very high inductivity with minimal scatter. It is
ideal for the galvanic isolation of high-impedance signals.
1 The input signal should be fed into this jack. The Lehle
P-Split operates purely passively. The input signal remains continuously connected to outputs A and B with no semiconductors
or any other active component in the signal path.
2 The input signal and its ground are directly present on jack B.
3 This switch can be used to rotate the phase of the input signal on output A through 180°. Shifting the phase may help
if phase cancellations have a negative effect on signal reproduction.
4 Pressing this switch connects the grounds of outputs A and B.
5 The input signal is present on jack A, electrically isolated by the Lehle LTHZ (7) high-end transformer.6 The base of the
Lehle P-Split can be secured without difficulty. First remove the four housing screws for the cover, and then screw the base
of the switch to a base-plate using the two screws supplied with the unit, the washers and the spacer elements.
