The Roland EXR-46 OR Interactive Arranger Keyboard comes with features and sounds vital to achieving the exotic micro-tonal scale sounds from traditional Middle Eastern, Indian, and Asian music. It retains many of the popular design characteristics of its predecessor (the beloved EXR-40 OR) with user-requested improvements to the fundamental elements: sounds, styles, and Music Assistant features.

The EXR-46 OR has a PCM sound source that provides 650 panel sounds (107 oriental), 33 drum kits (13 oriental), phrase samples, and preprogrammed patterns from Turkey and various Middle Eastern and Arabic regions. There are plucked-instrument patches with multiple articulations based on key touch and 17 types of unique Arabic vocal phrases and one-shot drum phrases, great for reproducing Arabic dance music. The Automatic Drum-Pad keyboard-mapping feature for easy percussion performance and programming. The large backlit LCD and dedicated front-panel controls provide fast navigation through sounds, patterns, transposition, tempo adjust, and song arrangement. It also has USB/MIDI connections, high-quality stereo speaker system, effects, 149 styles, and 200 user programs.

With dozens of authentic Music Styles preprogrammed into the EXR-46 OR, song arrangements can be created quickly and easily in real time.
