About: |
The
sound of The Wrekkage is rock and roll. Deep rooted
in classic southern rock with hints of progressive
rock old and new. Listening to us and coming to your
own conclusion is the best way to describe us though.
Originally formed in 1999 by guitarist Mike Boswell
and former "Tommy Conwell and The Young Rumblers"
drummer Jimmer Hannum. They added long time Delaware
and Pennsylvania area bassist Skip Coverdale. Coverdale
thinking the music could go farther asked vocalist
Rob Vannoy to check out a practice. Hearing "Drive
By" for the first time he was hooked. Some months
later guitarist Rocky Iocono was added putting the
finishing touches on the unique sound that is "The
Wrekkage"

Influences: |
Bands
from the late 60's and early to mid 70's are big influences
but not limited to that era. Some names include Youngbloods,
Beatles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hendrix, Deep Purple, The
Hollies, Animals, Ronnie James Dio, Queensryche, Savoy
Brown, Humble Pie, Black Oak Arkansas, Train, Molly
Hatchet, Pink Floyd, Yes and everything from country,
classical to southern gospel. I do not believe with
the current band members there could be one specific
influence.
